5/17/2023 0 Comments Xpro m80 plus skinYou’ve probably determined that I like the XPro M80 Plus, but there are many reasons to like it. If the batteries were removable I would have simply changed the batteries out and continued on. I found myself needing to do several reviews for subohm tanks with 0.2 or 0.25 ohm coil heads that needed much more than the 40w available to me in several devices I own, and because 0.2/0.25 ohm coils need more than 40 watts to reach peak performance, I had to stop a couple of the reviews until I could recharge the XPro. I can think of just one negative as far as I’m concerned, and that’s not really much of a negative. I have the champagne, SMOK calls it ‘golden’, and I am enjoying it with the extra low-ohm coil heads a lot. The matte anodized aluminum/zinc finish provides a great grip and is available in silver, champagne (golden), black and grey. Terrific performance and tons of features makes the XPro M80 a truly awesome vaporizer, and priced at right around $60 you can’t easily do better. Oh, and by the way, the ‘Plus’ at the end of the XPro M80 is for the temperature control, a first for the XPro line. An ample sized firing button complements the adjustment buttons, which further increases usability from new vapers to seasoned pros.Ī 5-click on/off system, and a 3-click system for changing modes makes the XPro M80 Plus one of the best values on the market. All 22mm tanks look great on it, even the new 7mL Kanger Subtank Plus. The spring-loaded 510-connector (brass) offers consistent contact flush mounting with any and every 510-connector eliquid delivery system I have. The SMOK XPro M80 Plus body is manufactured with a combination of aluminum and zinc alloys, providing a really solid feel, the two batteries inside add just the right amount of heft, and the design is ergonomic and easy to hold. A fast charge built-in battery pack by way of the Micro USB Charging Port (with ratings of 1 to 2 Amperes) is simple and easy, and its pass-through technology gives the vaper the ability to vape and charge simultaneously, as I am doing this very second. Other features include SMOK’s Puff Plan, allowing you to track your usage, set it, and even limit it on a daily basis. I’ve used the Kanger Ni200 coil heads (now available at Ave40!) and the Ni200 Arctic tank coils for an extraordinary vape experience, although I did not go near the 900f max. This mode allows users to fine-tune their vape experience while adding additional safety features for ease of mind. Temperature Control Mode is available when using atomizers and with NI200 (Nickel) wire coils and offers an unbelievable range of 200 to 900 degrees Fahrenheit. While the mechanical mode uses the electronics board and can’t truly be a mechanical device, it does perform well in mechanical mode. Most vapers will use this mode to control the M80, but the other modes come in handy for the more advanced vapers.Īs you switch to Mechanical Mode the XPro M80 Plus utilizes the dual 18650 Li-Polymer batteries (included) in a purely mechanical mode, drawing off of the 4000 mAh combined battery bank. While at 80watts the device itself may get slightly warm to the touch, it is within acceptable range. You can easily power any of your favorite subohm tanks, and RBA/RDA’s without pushing it. The Variable Wattage Mode has a range of 6 to 80 watts, with an increase of decrease of just. Let’s go over the specs briefly because getting into the practical application of using the device. The SMOK XPro M80 Plus Box Mod by SMOKTech features three distinct ‘modes’ of operation, a variable wattage device, a straight up mechanical mode, and a temperature control mode, all within a couple of button presses.
